Robert Puts Juliana to Sleep!

Hi Guys!

Happy Wednesday! I hope that everyone is having a fantastic week so far. I just had yesterday off and I got so much work done so, I'm really happy about that! Only TWO more days until Learning to be Little Again comes out! I'm so excited and can't believe that I'm having a second book come out. It's still hard for me to think that I had a first book come out! In case you guys missed my cover reveal from my SatSpanks post last Saturday, here it is. Korey Mae Johnson created this cover and I LOVE IT! Korey got my two favorite colors in it and I could just stare at it all day, plus there's a cute teddy bear. :-)

I'm here again with another snippet from Learning to be Little Again, I hope that you all enjoy it! :-)

"All ready for bed pumpkin?"

She nodded her head, and I gestured her forward to get in to bed. She did and I pulled the covers up to her neck and said, "I'll be right back. I have to get ready for bed and then I'll read you a story."

"Okay." She said, taking her teddy bear in her arms.

I left her bedroom and headed for her bathroom. I wanted to hurry so I could be with her. I had been tempted to bring a bottle or a pacifier for her tonight, but I decided not to. I wanted to go slow so I didn't spook her by trying to overwhelm her with age play stuff.

When I returned to the bedroom, Juliana was right where I had left her. I grabbed the books from my bag and then got in on the other side of the queen size bed.

"I wasn't sure what type of books you liked to read as your goodnight story. So, I brought a few to see what you would like."

"Can we read them all?" She asked me quietly, with big eyes.

I was going to have to talk to her about that tomorrow morning. Any time that I asked her what she wanted to do or anytime she voiced her opinion, she said it as if she was afraid I would hit her. I wanted her to be open with me, not afraid that I would hurt her.

"Of course we can baby girl. Come here, you can lean your head against my shoulder so you can see all of the pictures in this first book."

She nodded and scooted over by me. She leaned her head on my shoulder and I wrapped my arm around her so, I was cuddling her the same time that we were reading. What little girl didn't love cuddles?

I ended up reading her all the books that I brought with me, before she drifted off to sleep. I smiled as I looked down at her. She looked stress free right now. I hoped that she slept through the night because the dark circles under her eyes told me that she was still having problems with that.

I placed the books on the nightstand, turned the lamp off, and snuggled closer to her, as I followed her in to dream land.

Robert is such a sweet Daddy! Who wouldn't love being read books before they fell asleep. That's it for me. Remember to go hop along and check out other people's blogs because you never know what you'll find! Happy Wednesday everyone! :-)

  1. Cute! I like how tender he is with her. But, not being an age-play person myself, I'm imagining that the books he read were very, very naughty. :)

    1. You never know? Maybe they were naughty? Haha! Since Juliana is in her little headspace, it probably isn't something to naughty. :-)

    1. Well, since Juliana was acting young, it was mostly like children's book.

  4. Robert is indeed a very loving Daddy. About the books though, I'll just confess that my mind went in the same direction as Tara's. Especially when he said he wanted her to be able to see the pictures ☺

    1. He wanted her to be able to see the colorful pictures! Like Dr. Seuss books. For instance, Green Eggs and Ham is not the same story without the pictures in it.

  5. This was a really sweet scene, Meredith! Although I must confess, I was picturing a stack of Dr. Seuss! LOL!

    1. They most likely were Dr. Seuss. All this talk of Dr. Seuss is now making me want to read some!

  6. I was picturing naughty books also! (Hmm.. an untapped market? Naughty picture books written for age-play?). Lovely scene.

    1. Thanks! That's one thing that I tried to do for both of my stories, especially this one. I liked readers being able to think what was going on inside the big's head and inside the little's head.
