Marcus arrives at the club!

Hi Everyone!

Happy Wednesday! It's hump day! Only two days left and it'll be Friday!! :-)

Today, I'm sharing a snippet of my latest WIP. It's a M/m BDSM story. Writing this story, really took me out of my writing comfort zone. It was a challenge, but it was worth it. This story ended up being the easiest and most fun for me to write!

In this snippet, Marcus has just gotten the acceptance email for Newbies Night. He drives to the club and is just about to get out of his car...

When I got to the club, the parking lot was almost full. I parked my car in one of the spots, got out, and looked around. The building looked a lot like an old farm house and it was in the middle of nowhere. To a passerby, it probably looked like a building that someone was still living in, but I knew that wasn't the case.

Swallowing my nervousness, I walked up the pathway and threw the open door. The entranceway looked like any entryway...almost. There was a table with a vase full of sunflowers in it. To the right, there were big, thick, red curtains. In front of it was a hostess table. A woman stood behind it wearing black leather pants and a pink leather halter top. That wasn't what caught my eye with her, it was her hair. Cut in a cute bob, the tips of her black hair were dyed every color of the rainbow. It was so unique.

"May I help you?" the woman asked, giving me a once over. She smiled as a lustful look crossed her face. Sorry, don't play for you team sweetheart, I thought to myself.

"Yes," I said, taking a step closer to her. "I'm here for the umm...for the event tonight."

"The event?" Her lustful look turned in to one that looked like she thought I was crazy. Maybe I am for coming here, I thought.

            "Yes, the...newbies night."

Recognition dawned on her face. "Oh! The Newbies Night. Yes, yes. Okay, what is your name?" She pulled a list and pen out from behind her table.

            "Marcus Bradberry."

She scanned the page with her fingertip and when she found my name, she put a check mark next to it.

"Okay Marcus. All you need to do is wear this red band. It will alert the other members to the fact that you are new here. If you decide to play at a station with someone, we follow the standard, green, yellow, and red safe words. There are dungeon monitors all around if you have questions or for whatever reason need help. Do you have any questions for me?"

            "No ma'am."

"Allrighty then, welcome to the club." She walked behind her and pulled open the thick red curtains for me to step through.

What do you think Marcus will see behind that red curtain? More importantly, how will he react?

Thanks for stopping by my blog today and remember to check out all of the author's blogs because you'll never know what you'll find!!

Happy Wednesday Everyone! :-)

  2. You left us hanging woman! I'm outraged here. What IS behind the curtain? I mean I know it's a club. And it's Newbie Night. There is bound to be hot sexy bodies behind those drapes and all sorts of fun stations to play at but your teasing us. Making us wait!
It's gonna kill me to be patient until next week. ☺

  4. I have a feeling, judging by her reaction, there is something else going on, and I really want to know what that something is. Great snippet. :)
