Meredith's Monday Musings: Age Play Basics!
Happy Monday! Last week flew by for me! I can't believe that a new week is here again! Did y'all have a good week? I hope that you did. Today's topic is something that is very near and dear to my heart...age play! This discussion will be all about the basics of age play. In the future, I'll discuss how I write age play and maybe a personal testimony about it...maybe.
For those who don't know, age play is when a person (also referred to as a little) enjoys acting younger than he/she actually is. Sometimes, this person can be in a relationship and the little's partner (also referred to as the little's Mommy/Daddy) will take on the role of caring for the little. Or, sometimes the little can be playing all by themselves. They don't always need a partner.
It's also important to know that not every little is going to regress to the same headspace level. There are generally three head spaces that a little will regress to: Infant Stage, Child Stage, Teenager Stage. What stage the little will regress to just depends on what stuff he/she enjoys. For example, if a little really enjoys being cared for 100% and also enjoys the thought of wearing diapers, they'd probably regress more to the infant stage. While others, maybe want to be able to blow off some steam, but keep most of their independence would regress more towards the teenager stage. Some littles might even regress to different stages at different times depending on their moods.
I'm not sure if any of you have heard the topic of clean age play Vs dirty age play come up before when researching age play. Clean age play, also known as non-sexual age play is when a little regresses and nothing sexual happens between her and her partner. Whereas, with dirty age play, also referred to as sexual age play is when a little regresses and something sexual could happen between her and her partner. For example, the little calls her partner Daddy in bed, while they're having sex. To make it clear, there is nothing wrong with either of these forms of age play. Both participants are consenting, over the age of 18 years old and what they choose to do behind closed doors (or even in people's view if that's their thing) is perfectly all right.
Now I'm sure that some people are asking themselves, why would someone and/or a couple want to participate in age play. There are so many reasons why and you could ask a dozen littles and their responses will probably each be different. From the research that I've done, the reasons I'm about to list tend to be the most popular as to why someone and/or a couple participates in the age play lifestyle. Some littles find age play relaxing. It's a way for the person to let go of their adult responsibilities for a while and not worry about what has to get done. Other littles might have been abused at a certain age of their childhood and being able to regress back to that age and relive it, helps heal some of those old wounds. Some littles find age play arouses them. Being able to call your partner Daddy/Mommy in bed is hot to them. Finally, others just plain enjoy it and they can't explain why. It might be a combination of these reasons or something else entirely.
Age play is something that isn't the easiest to understand at times, but I think the same can be said for any kink. Personally, I believe that the desire to act little is something that we're all born with. When we discover that desire is another topic for a latter date.
The last piece of information that should be digested from this post is if you like to read age play, fantasize about being treated like a little, or are in an age play relationship, it's important to know that there is no right way to do age play. Each individual/couple is different and if what turns you on, doesn't turn the next person on, well that's okay! Also, for the people who read this post and are like, age play is so not my thing, that's okay too! But please, for the people who enjoy age play, respect them and just politely say, that isn't my kink, you go ahead and do your thing, and I'll do mine.
If you're just beginning your age play relationship and want some reading material, here are a few books that I recommend to read. They depict a consensual age play relationship.
Being Their Baby...The little regresses to pretty much all stages. Warning, there is a diaper scene in here.
Little Samantha's Choice...The little regresses to an infant and child stage. Warning, there are diaper scenes in here.

I hope that this helps y'all. If any of you ever have any questions, feel free to message me on Facebook. Also, if anyone wants, check out my age play Pinterest wall. It's pretty awesome, if I do say so myself. :-)
Have a great week, everyone!
